At the same time\, contemplative traditions have spent centuries investigating the nature of consciousness through direct observation and inquiry. \nThis thought-provoking talk explores the fascinating intersection of science\, philosophy\, and contemplative wisdom to examine one of humanity’s greatest mysteries: What is reality\, and what role does consciousness play in experiencing it? \nTogether\, we will explore questions such as: \n\nIs reality independent of the observer?\nHow does the mind construct our experience of the world?\nCan consciousness reveal aspects of reality that lie beyond our ordinary perception?\nWhat insights can modern science and ancient wisdom offer when considered together?\n\nWhether you are curious about consciousness\, fascinated by science\, or seeking a deeper understanding of existence\, this talk offers an opportunity to explore these profound questions from a fresh perspective. \nJoin us for an evening of discovery as we look beyond appearances and explore what may lie behind the scenes of reality. \nAbout the speaker\nAnagarikā Dr. Sumudu Weththasinghe: Anagarikā Dr. Sumudu a former scientist at the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration and a PhD holder in Analytical Chemistry from the Australian National University\, left her successful lay life to embark on a transformative journey towards unconditional happiness. \nWhile diligently practising the path under the guidance of monastic teachers and a noble community\, Anagārikā Dr. Sumudu is selflessly dedicated to empowering individuals and communities to overcome life’s challenges.
