The retreat and the tour is organised Ministry Of Nirvana and is made up of two parts, an enlightening retreat and an enchanting tour!
Enlightening Retreat (25th December 2025 to 1st January 2026)
The first part of this pilgrimage will be an incredible retreat held at Jethavanarama Buddhist Monastery, a place brimming with hundreds of individuals eager to deepen their spiritual practice. You’ll be given opportunities to:
- Listen to Deep Dhamma Talks about the inner workings of the mind
- Be guided through transformative meditation sessions
- Participation in many meritorious activities
- Witness an awe – inspiring ceremony – Dhakineyyo Panchanisansa Maha Pooja
- Engaging individual and group discussions and much more!
Heritage Tour (2nd January 2026 – 9th January 2026)
After the completion of your enlightening retreat you’ll tour around the Sacred Buddhist Sites dotted around Sri Lanka connecting to the time of the Buddha and the Golden age of the Sambuddha Sasana. You’ll visit place such as:
- Anuradhapura
- Polonnaruwa
- Dambulla
- Kandy
- Sigiriya and so much more!
Program Details
Eligibility:
- Participants must be 16 years or older.
- Those under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Key Dates:
- Registration Deadline: 25/09/2025 (Flight booking required for confirmation).
- Deposit Payment (25% Non-Refundable): Due by 25/09/2025.
- Final Payment: Due by 25/11/2025.
- Arrival in Sri Lanka: 25/12/2025.
- Departure from Sri Lanka: 09/01/2026.

Inclusions
✅ Meals:
- 6 breakfasts and one dinner during the tour (Day 8 – Day 14).
- All meals (B, L, D) during the retreat (Day 1 – Day 7) provided free by the monastery and volunteers.
✅ Transport:
- Air-conditioned transport during the tour.
✅ Guidance & Accommodation:
- English-speaking guide throughout the tour.
- Two 500ml water bottles per person daily (Day 8 – Day 14).
- Accommodation during the tour (Day 8 – Day 14).
Exclusions
❌ Travel insurance (Healthcare & transport recommendations available upon request).
❌ Visa fees
❌ Entry fees for sightseeing locations
❌ 7 lunches & 7 dinners during the tour (Day 8 – Day 14)

Registrations will close on the 25th of September.
Registrations will only be confirmed if you provide us with your airfare to Sri Lanka and (and initial deposit if attending the second part). This is to avoid cancellations, as this may incur an extra cost for us if we have already made bookings.
